There have been many times in my life when reality and success seem to be miles apart and cause great stress, worry and anger for me in my life.  What I have found necessary for me to do is follow the principles of success outlined here, including expressing my feelings of insecurity, fear and anger when appropriate.  Have you every felt angry because of not dealing with the reality in this moment around being successful, right here and right now? If so try this out and observe what happens when you have steps to take, a plan to follow, and your reality to be a part of.

  • Express your Feelings
  • Have a Dream – Create a vision for the future NOW. People of excellence have goals and allow those goals to determine their future.
  • Develop a Plan – Organize your thinking and write it down. Those who strive for excellence have a very clear and detailed agenda of every step they need to take along the way.
  • Control your Focus – Don’t do too many things at once or try to please other people. Learn to determine the difference between time well spent and time lost to trivial pursuits. Your use of YES and NO will determine your destiny.
  • Take Personal Initiative – Act as if it all depends on you and be decisive. The fact is that decisive, self determined individuals typically prevail and rise to the top because many people are not so.
  • Practise Self-Discipline – Stay on target so no matter what, even if you think you’ve “gotten there”.
  • Learn to Budget – Put your time, energy and money behind your plan and gain control. All great achievers control their time. It is not necessarily how long we work that matter, it is what we get done in that time period that counts.
  • Take Risks – Above average people learn to take risks and demonstrate enthusiasm and excitement when doing so.
  • Don’t quit After Success – Press on and learn to make persistence a habit. Remember, average people tend to stop after small victories, while successful people understand that small victories really represent opportunity to do more.
  • Enjoy Yourself – Don’t let the small things get you down. Keep the faith and have fun.

Do you agree with these principles?

I Would change them to be:

An Affirmation for success!

I know that I am loved, safe and protected as I journey through life.

I have comfort and joy in my life!

I embrace success and I am open and ready to manifest this into my life starting right now!

My Personal Affirmation for success is:

Peace, love, light and blessings!

“White Eagle”

Step One:

Ask, “Where do I want to see myself in 6 months?

How do I want my life to be?”

“Think of all areas of life: financial, home environment, work or school, possibly business, mental growth, relationships (partner, children, Elders, possible rebuilding?), holiday, food, clothing, self-care. There may be other areas of importance, just include them.”

“Develop a full picture in your mind of your goals.”

Write down your dreams, this is the beginning of your goal setting.

Step Two:

Now draw a line down the center of a page. On the left side write “Barriers” as a heading.”

“Under this heading, make a list of anything that might get in your way to achieving this or these goals.” (Notice that we have more than 1 goal) remember that you are  dealing with a lot of areas of your life.

Step Three:

On the right side of the page, write “What is one small step I can take to shift the energy of this barrier?” Note each step beside the specific barrier, so that you have a visual guide for yourself.

Step Four:

“What do you notice now after going through this process?”

Now break this down into achievable steps.

  • Now
  • 1 week from now
  • 1 month
  • 2 months
  • 6 months
  • choose the time frames that work for you.

Remember that you can look at your life in chunks to make setting goals more manageable i.e. move past a 6 month time frame into a 3 year time frame or a 5 year time frame.

When things come into your conscious mind into the form of awareness and realizations, then they become more manageable and achievable.

Step Five:

“What have you learned through this exploration in making your dreams a reality through goal setting?”

Peace, love, light and blessings as you move forward with your direction!

“White Eagle”

Human Beings today certainly do not need to have the Social Skills that they used to!

With Computers, friendship has become expendable. If you are having difficulty with a friend, all you need to do today is cancel them from your life through the internet communication systems! What does that teach us?

How to cancel people from our lives by pushing a button!

I believe that all friends and acquaintances come into my life for a reason.   I will never cancel a person unless I am sure that we have both learned the lessons we needed to learn from one another!  At that time I will talk with them and use the skills I was provided with throughout my life to keep our self esteem intact and know that love is the basis of all relationships, short term or long term!

Peace, love, light and blessings!

“White Eagle”

Childhood memories are still very clear to me today. I knew that I was gifted when I was very young and that knowledge was being forwarded to me through me. This information being forwarded to me had not been taught to me through indoctrinated systems or other people. It was information that was unique to me.

I could find missing objects and some of my very early recollections of being a child included locating missing objects in our household. If anything could not be located, my mother, who was a very knowing person would say; “if it’s in the house, ask “Whitebird,” she will know where it is! Amazingly, I usually did know exactly where things were! I simply needed to be observant and ask where something was and I would automatically be led to it from my inner sense of knowing. As I progressed through my childhood, I quickly learned that the things that I knew in my little life, were not to be shared with others. I was intuitive and had an uncanny understanding of people. Others would be frightened, I would be rejected and viewed as being weird and different. Those in my life who were important to me, my parents, family, friends, acquaintances and teachers always told me to keep it to myself, “don’t be silly” they would say, and then they would ask: “How could you possibly know that?” These questions and statements became the undoing of what I had arrived in this world with. A sound knowledge of who I am and the gifts that I bring forward with me to my today which is NOW. The process of life appears to involve unlearning much of what you have learned in your life from the time you were a small child, then miraculously putting it all together and re-learning how important the things that you have unlearned in your life are to you today. I know that I have choice, and my choice comes to me through understanding the process of life in this precious eternal moment of NOW! The now’s in my life have led me through an exciting journey that will continue on to infinity and beyond. This journey through life has constantly shifted, changed and has led me to where I am today. Each moment, each experience, I give thanks for! It is up to me to learn in this fleeting moment as it carries me forward into infinity, what I need to assist me to move forward with my life.

To those who have gone before me, who are me, Creator and every animate object on earth, I am eternally grateful for the assistance in becoming all that I am.

What are the gifts that you have, have you kept them?

As we share we grow!

Trail Riding With Dolly

Trail Riding with Dolly

Many years ago I had the opportunity to go on a trail ride through the mountains on a wonderful horse named Dolly. In my life, I had built up an unbelievable fear of horses, and I was very apprehensive about going across very narrow mountain passes on a horse. My fear of horses stemmed from visiting farms and riding stables where I was placed on the back of horses that I did not know. The horses reciprocated by being as freaked out as I was that someone would actually place me, a city raised greenhorn with no knowledge of horses on their back. I went on many hair raising rides, with the horse taking total control and desperately wanting this unknowing greenhorn off of them right now. I was dragged through bushes, run through fields, and totally unaccepted by these animals in their need to get back to a place where they were comfortable and happy. Back to their stables! So, actually, apprehensive is a mild word for what I was feeling at the moment I was to mount a horse and take an 18 mile ride across the mountain trail to spend four wondrous days in a remote bush camp in the mountains. I was totally paralyzed with fear!

The owner was a very experienced cowboy. We he realized the dilemma he had on his hands, he said, “I have one horse who is really gentle, her name is Dolly and she will get you there and back with no trouble at all”! ”She understands your fear and won’t let anything happen to you on the way”! He left, headed for the stable and brought back a huge horse which really left me quaking in my newly acquired boots. My 5’2” body could not see over the back of this horse, and he expected me to get on her and ride on steep mountain trails. Another fear quickly arose when I saw her. The fear of heights, how on earth would I get on her, sit way up there while I was on a narrow mountain path? At that time my whole physical body became paralyzed. My legs locked, my arms stiffened and I realized that there was absolutely no way that I was going to attempt such a ridiculous challenge. The trail boss knew what he was doing! Everyone else had mounted their horses, and I could feel the anticipation and excitement in the air. How could I possibly back out of this? I was in he middle of nowhere, everyone else was ready to go, I had no means to get back to town, and my only choice seemed to be to get on the horse and take the trip. I became very creative and decided the way around this fear would be to just walk and I would lead the horse. Dolly and I would be fine, I would load my few personal items onto the saddle, and she and I would enjoy our leisurely walk through the mountains. The trail boss, realized what as going on, and I attempted to manipulate him by saying, “don’t worry, we’ll be just fine”! At that time he reminded me of the bears, cougars and other wild animals that also lived on the mountain, and said that it was a long 18 mile walk, and if I chose to do this he would see me in two days. Well, he was another fear to add to my fear of horses and heights. Now it was bears and cougars! It was amazing how quickly I actually mounted Dolly, and began the trek through the mountains.

Once I got onto Dolly there was no way that I was going to get off. The mountain pass was really narrow and there was shale falling down the mountain as we progressed along the pass. Dolly was sure footed, and she seemed to know that my life and future depended on her every moment, every step along the path. Other riders had dismounted and were leading their horses across the ledges, not me! I was now totally frozen on the back of Dolly, my fear of horses, heights, bears and cougars totally intact and radiating from every pore in my body. Two or three hours later, we stopped by a mountain stream to have lunch. I attempted to get off of Dolly’s back and found that my legs were locked and two able bodied men offered me some assistance to get me down to the ground. The whole time, Dolly was patient, kind, and understanding. She looked at me and her eyes told me that she understood how I was feeling and wanted to reassure me that she knew what she was doing and would continue to take care of me until we reached our destination and that’s exactly what she did. Without my animal friend Dolly I never would have got into the camp.

Two days later, I went on a day ride with Dolly. I was feeling a lot more comfortable with her, and I decided it might be fun to head out into the woods with my kind and compassionate equine friend. We were hiking along a mountain stream, the air was fresh and alive, the scenery was totally awesome, and I was leading Dolly. We had to cross through a patch of entangled trees, and Dolly got stuck in a tangle of tree roots that resembled an X and O Game. She panicked, jumped out of them to free herself and her hoof landed on my left heel. I hollered, cried, removed my boot to make sure nothing was broken an then I looked over at Dolly. She was looking at me and the look and sense of compassion radiating from her was immense. In that instant I knew what compassion was all about. Dolly had taught me. She and I were joined through spirit! She put her head down, nudged me as if to say, I’m so sorry, get up on my back and I will take care of you again. I did, and she did not falter for the remainder of the trip with the compassion she radiated to me. We made it through the remainder of the trip, she walked me back down the mountain and she and I were totally connected spiritually through compassion and experience.

I realize today that Dolly was a great teacher, only because she was different from me. I could sense what she sensed, feel what she felt, and take direction from her because her realness, clarity and compassion were not clouded with my negative thoughts. She was genuine, unique and wonderful!

It amazes me today how experiences come into our lives to guide us. It is no accident we end up in situations to prepare us to move forward. Since my experience with Dolly I have been able to assist two very dear friends (horse whisperers) to set up programs to teach Life Skills through horses and help many to learn and grow with these four legged friends. We are all one!

In memory of my dear friend and mentor Dave! Blessings and Thank you!
