What heals the soul?

The old healer to the soul:

It’s not your back that hurts, but the burden.

It’s not your eyes that hurt, but injustice.

It’s not your head that hurts, it’s your thoughts.

Not the throat, but what you don’t express or say with anger.

Not the stomach hurts, but what the soul does not digest.

It’s not the liver that hurts, it’s the anger.

It’s not your heart that hurts, but love.

And it is love itself that contains the most powerful medicine.

A Voice for Tears: Willow Raven Sage

She stands alone in the shadows,

The sky darkened gray by her heart

Fighting for survival, too young to know, pain deeply engraved in her heart.

Tears sting her eyes,

Though she must never cry.

Blocking all emotions, too young, too young to know why.

In the depths of her mind, she clings to hope and truth,

Harshness of her life has taken all of her youth.

With a soul that longs for freedom,

She can feel a yearning, raging within, her very being

Reaching out, desperate for someone to understand,

Someone to know where she has been, too young to feel all

Life’s burdens, you can see hurt buried deep in her eye’s.

No more can she feel cold as ice,

But sheds the years of never ending pain,

As she begins to cry.
